STAMFORD, CT – Campus Televideo, the nation’s largest integrator of television programming to colleges and universities, is pleased to announce that two State University of New York schools are receiving HBO GO® services.

Resident students at the University at Buffalo and Alfred State SUNY College of Technology can access the premium television streaming service through Campus Televideo’s authentication service, CTVstream. The service allows resident students to watch their favorite HBO® shows on any device, anytime, and anywhere with an Internet connection.

HBO GO® is HBO’s authenticated streaming service, which offers instant access to more than 2,000 titles online, including every episode of new and classic HBO series, as well as HBO® original films, miniseries, sports, documentaries, specials, and a wide selection of blockbuster movies.

“We are excited to have partnered with Campus Televideo to have our programming made available to SUNY students.  We believe the exposure will attract new fans and future subscribers,” said Joe Bahr, vice president of Digital Network Distribution for HBO®.

“On-demand services like HBO GO® are a great solution for students to get their favorite shows in a convenient way and for the university to cut back on illegal downloading of content,” said Sameer Mathur, lead programmer/analyst for Campus Living at the Univesity at Buffalo “We have had terrific feedback from our students who enjoy watching the shows on their own schedule.”

Matt Speed, network and systems administrator for ACES at Alfred State said, “The CTVstream platform was easy to implement and is simple to maintain. We feel confident that the system is safe and secure because no student identification information is shared with third parties.”
